IN SUPPORT OF INTERVAL HOUSE HAMILTON

Interval House of Hamilton is a safe emergency shelter that provides all meals, emergency clothing and personal needs for abused women over the age of 16, with or without children. The shelter serves Hamilton-Wentworth and surrounding areas. Many additional services are offered: All services are confidential 

 • Counselling services: one-to-one and group counselling for residents, with follow-up support for ex-residents. One-to-one counselling is also available for non-residents. 

• Child and Youth program: both in-house recreational and therapeutic intervention. 

• Transitional Support Program for ex-residents and non-residents. 

• Information and advocacy on legal rights, employment, housing and education is also provided. • Referral service: many professional contacts. 

• Speakers to schools, professional agencies, churches and community groups. 

• In-service training for professionals is also available.
